This expanded contemporary home design remains a simple construction.

Expanded Design #5

Expanded #5

Comparison: Designs #5 and #6 share a look set mostly by the low single slope roof use and theme. Their plans and the their expanded plans don't really share anything. Design #6 spreads itself out similarly to most plans and therefore is more mix and match compatible with those designs.

This design: In this expanded 'pinwheel' format the narrow lot potential of this core design is lost. That same pinwheel geometry encourages the master and rear covered living spaces to project out into an open yard setting with generous light  and views.

Style: As drawn this design has an easy contemporary look.  An advantage to the low slope roof configuration is n a the larger window potential on the upper level which enjoys larger horizontal window openings. A disadvantage is no attic storage. This wider garage extension and the core (larger) utility room compensate.
