This design variation of #4 is purposefully showing in a open wooded environment on a sloped site.

Roof Garden #4a

Roof Garden #4, #4a

#4,#4a: These 2 designs are essentially the same but are being presented in different site environments with different exterior aesthetics. This is to illustrate the somewhat strange flexibility in these roof garden designs.

Site idea: This design#4a is showing an open sloped lot setting with (left) end approach. 2 vehicles are undercover, and this configuration is an easy garage conversion. Having a 'front" vehicular approach possible this design. Note this design is specifically shown tucked into the slope. Alternate construction methods for doing the earth retaining are noted in designs#3, and #7,#8.

Open ceilings: This roof also uses 2 single slope shed roof planes with  short rafter spans-making it an easy build. Exposed beams are not shown but are an option.

Layout:  On the ground main level there is 1 entry door with public mud room functions and a split open stair under the smaller roof plane, and the somewhat separated bedrooms and utility room in the larger construction box. There is a larger, and smaller bedroom, each with a private bath. The rear larger bedroom has a private patio. Upper living spaces demand a look at the 3d images. It is fun living space. Note these living functions are not wide open this design but have a little spatial definition. This #4a design adds a home office alcove over the finished entry space on the ground level - and is recommended. This design also has more roof garden deck under roof cover.
