Roof Garden #5
Roof Garden #5
Site idea: This home design is shown in an urban setting but with the 'front' being the long elevation. The design is adaptable. The vehicular approach can be turned 90 degrees. And the big glass in the stairway wall can be simplified or even eliminated.- as it may not be narrow lot suitable as a privacy concern.
Open ceilings: This roof uses 2 single slope shed roof planes with open ceilings.
Layout: Designs #5 and #6 add a 'rear' space on the ground level with a 'private' deck space above. This added rear space on the ground level is designated the 3rd bedroom for design#5, but it can be redefined based on need. The front roof garden deck is showing both containers for gardening and PV panels. The roof deck area is generous this design and lends some flexibility in achieving a south orientation for the PV panels. Southern orientation is not always achievable on roof planes in narrow lot situations.
