Roof Garden #8

Roof Garden #8

Site idea: The same sloped open site for design# 7 and #8 is showing a traditional independent retaining wall outside the rear and right side of the main ground level construction. This creates a controlled flat area outside those bedroom walls. The windows facing to the retaining walls are certainly acceptable for bedroom, bath and utility spaces, but not so desirable for living spaces. Hence the 'living up' idea this design series.

Open ceilings: The roof  format these designs is the gable and reverse gable. Open ceilings in the primary living space and the front reverse gable space uses a raised flat format in design#7, and a full vaulted gable in design #8.

Layout:  On the ground main level is the entry, foyer, open split stair to the living spaces above. Design #8 includes 2 bedrooms, 1 baths, utility space, and a master suite. This arrangement leaves the front space above the master available for user definition. Thatv space is presented as a sunroom this design as it has full glass potential for both light and view. It also can be detailed as a contained passive solar space. This whole upper level has some great space.
