Small Walkout #7
Design #7
Idea: This design is built on the same footprint. The orientation of the big glass and deck favors the left side. That left side partial porch cover is accomplished with cantilever construction rather than post and beam. The front porch similarly utilizes a cantilever roof construction. More open, cleaner look, and less rain, snow, sun protective . There is always a trade off.
Layout: The straight stair is positioned so 3 levels are accessible. The attic/loft level offers space for 2 functions and some attic type storage. The main level pdr rm is the 1 awkward planning result of this stair location. All else fits nicely.
Exterior: This exterior has a distinct look as a function of the gable centered vertical bay window features present on front, right side, and rear elevations. The play between these bay features and the siding will permit any siding choice without design sacrifice.
