Pier and post construction on the downhill side supports floor deck, and roof out over the descending topography.

Along a topo line: Designs #1, #2 assume a linear topo and respond with a linear design. And are simpler and smaller designs. This design is a slightly larger variation of Design #1, with an alternate pier and post construction.

Pier and support: Footings and masonry piers to just above grade are conventional. Support 'posts' are 6x6 and 4x6 wood posts positioned to offer that lateral stability. Fair to say that the this stable post construction requires more care in initial positioning and bracing during construction before the floor deck gets placed than does the 'L' frame wall method showing design #1.
