Topo cooperation: This 2 story layout follows the construction concepts consistent this series, with an interesting distinction in the support of the extended upper floor and deck construction.  A big and clear site section drawing (sheet d.3) shows this geometry.

Standard support system: This support idea best illustrated in the foundation 3d image. There is a trade off in this approach. The limitation of the extension distance out over tough terrain. The big value is not requiring footings and pier support system in that tough terrain.

Design distinctions: This design is purposefully more conventional, or 'transitional' in  appearance, and can easily be converted  to an aesthetic suited to the setting.
