Idea
Design Sets for custom home designs have the primary job of satisfying site, floor plan, and exterior design requirements, as well as passing responsibility checks for construction and budget based realities. Because custom homes are inherently different and set out to solve somewhat different problems, the sets are different.
These sets represent the final product for Phase 1 and Phase 2 services as described in Summary of Services
IMPORTANT: These design sets are not construction documents. See the Construction Drawing Set page this menu to view the more complete construction document sample sets.
Closer Look Set #1
Sample set 1 project is a mountain side site with a limited building ‘pad’, in a more remote location. The design set needed to present the home design on the site pretty carefully, and simultaneously be certain that foundation work and excavation equipment could execute without adding disproportionate expense. This design set had to be a little more complete than the median design set and exceeded the $2.00 fee
Closer Look Set #2
Sample set 2 project is located in a subdivision on a mostly flat site, and the builder had been preselected. This usually makes the site design and decisions simpler, and responsibilities for drawings and approvals more straight forward. This design set is therefore a little less rigorous than the median design set.
